NEGOTIATE YOUR NARRATIVE

Privacy Policy

Last Updated: April 2026

The Be the Transformational Change Fund ("BTTC," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and understands that some of the information connected to your use of this program is deeply personal. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what we will never do with it.

We wrote this in plain language on purpose.

1. Who This Policy Applies To

This policy applies to anyone who visits our course pages, creates an account, enrolls in Negotiate Your Narrative Tier 1: Foundation or The Catalyst Track, or interacts with any part of the Program hosted on Thinkific or linked from bethetransformationalchange.org.

2. A Note About Identity and Sensitivity

We recognize that enrolling in The Catalyst Track, a course designed for Trans, nonbinary, genderqueer, genderfluid, Two-Spirit, and gender-expansive professionals, may itself be sensitive information. Some learners may not be out in all areas of their life. Some may be exploring their identity. Some may be in workplaces where their enrollment in a Trans-specific course could put them at risk.

We take this seriously. Your enrollment in any course is private. We will never disclose which course you enrolled in to your employer, your colleagues, or any third party. Period.

We also want to make it clear that ANYONE 18 years or older can take our courses.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes and no others:

To deliver the Program. Creating your account, tracking your progress, issuing certificates, and providing access to course materials.

To improve and report on the Program. We analyze aggregate course data, including overall completion rates, pass rates, and quiz performance, to improve lesson content, assessments, and user experience. We also use anonymized, aggregate data in internal reporting, grant applications, program evaluation, and published research. No individual learner will be identifiable in any aggregate reporting or publication.

To communicate with you. Sending course-related messages such as enrollment confirmations, progress reminders, and completion notifications. We may also send occasional updates about new BTTC programs if you have opted in to receive them.

To respond to you. If you contact us with a question, concern, or request, we use your information to respond.

5. What We Will Never Do

We will never sell your personal information to anyone, for any reason.

We will never share your individual enrollment data, course progress, or participation with any employer, recruiter, or third party without your explicit written consent.

We will never disclose that you enrolled in The Catalyst Track to anyone outside of BTTC's program administration team.

We will never use your information for advertising, targeted marketing, or profiling.

We will never contact your employer about your enrollment.

6. Who Has Access to Your Information

BTTC Program Team. A small number of BTTC staff and volunteers who administer the Program have access to enrollment and progress data for the purpose of program delivery and improvement. All team members are bound by confidentiality obligations.

Thinkific. The Program is hosted on Thinkific's learning management platform. Thinkific processes your data as our service provider in accordance with their own privacy policy (thinkific.com/privacy). We encourage you to review Thinkific's privacy policy for details on how they handle data.

No one else. We do not share your personal information with any other third parties, advertisers, employers, or organizations unless required by law.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include using Thinkific's secure, encrypted platform for all course delivery and data storage, limiting access to personal information to authorized BTTC team members only, and using secure email communication for any correspondence containing personal information.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Notification will be made without unreasonable delay and no later than sixty (60) days after determination that a breach has occurred.

Notification will include a description of the incident, the type of information involved, the steps we are taking in response, and contact information for follow-up questions.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under your state's laws. These may include the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request correction or deletion, the right to data portability, and the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information.

We do not sell personal information. We do not engage in targeted advertising or profiling based on your data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the Program after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
